Drive's Commitment to Net Zero Carbon Emissions

Drive’s Commitment to Net Zero Carbon Emissions

Drive is deeply committed to our ambition of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050. This commitment is a crucial part of our broader strategy to address the climate emergency and contribute to a sustainable future. We recognise the significant impact that our business has on the environment and are dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint through innovative solutions and collaborative efforts.

To reach our net zero goal, we will implement a comprehensive plan that includes:

  1. Reducing Operational Emissions: We will adopt technologies and practices that minimise our carbon output, ensuring that our transport, businesses, and offices stop putting carbon into the air.
  2. Investing in Renewable Energy: We will support initiatives like Ynni Cymru, which focuses on generating electricity from renewable sources such as sunlight, wind, and waves.
  3. Enhancing Energy Efficiency: By retrofitting existing infrastructure and embracing digitalisation, we aim to significantly reduce emissions and improve sustainability.
  4. Promoting Sustainable Practices: We will foster a culture of sustainability within our organisation, encouraging employees and partners to adopt new ways of working that align with our environmental goals.
  5. Partnerships and Collaboration: We are committed to working with organisations such as the Carbon Literacy Project to promote and raise awareness of carbon emissions and net zero initiatives. Our goal is to upskill and educate our staff and the people we work with, helping them become carbon aware and carbon literate.

Our commitment to net zero by 2050 is not just a target; it is a promise to future generations that we will do our part to protect and preserve the planet. We believe that through collective action and innovative solutions, we can create a greener, more sustainable world for all.
