We’re looking for an experienced Area Manager to join Drive on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing leadership and operational oversight across our services in the Neath and Swansea area. While the role supports homes across Neath and Swansea, you will also be expected to work regularly from our Head Office in Nantgarw and collaborate closely with the wider Operational Leadership Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our homes continue to provide high-quality, person-centred support that enables people we support to live the life that matters to them. You will support Team Managers to achieve excellent outcomes, maintain compliance, drive continuous improvement and embed Drive’s values of Dignity, Respect, Inclusion, Vision and Empowerment throughout our services.

About the Role

As an Area Manager, you will:

  • Provide leadership, coaching and support to Team Managers.
  • Drive quality, compliance and continuous improvement across an allocated area.
  • Support the development of high-performing homes that reflect Drive’s values and quality standards.
  • Maintain oversight of safeguarding, health and safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in investigations and formal management processes, including disciplinary, capability, grievance, safeguarding and appeal matters.
  • Develop positive relationships with people we support, families, colleagues, commissioners, regulators and partner agencies.
  • Support organisational change and contribute to Drive’s strategic objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, including regular attendance at Head Office in Nantgarw.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Significant experience managing social care services and leading teams.
  • A Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or is actively working towards achieving this qualification.
  • Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience of quality assurance, safeguarding, compliance and operational performance.
  • The ability to motivate, develop and support managers to achieve positive outcomes.
  • A commitment to high-quality, person-centred support.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
