Drive Autumn Conference - Working with the RNIB
We really enjoyed working with RNIB at our conference with the people we support last week. We learned a lot about what it can be like to experience sight loss, and gathered feedback on people’s experiences at the optician. Lots of food for thought on how we can improve the home environment and sight tests for people with a learning disability. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with RNIB and Cardiff University to learn more about how to improve experiences for people at home and in their local community.
We are so excited to be working with Maggie Woodhouse at Cardiff University School of Optometry and Iain Kennedy of RNIB to explore the impact that sight loss has on people with learning disabilities.
Big thanks to Iain Kennedy for a fabulous workshop that is already influencing how we all think and act.
