About Drive

Drive is a not-for-profit social care organisation that supports people to live the life that matters to them. We believe in compassion, inclusion and empowerment — for the people we support and for our colleagues.

Our teams work in a friendly, positive environment where learning is encouraged and everyone’s contribution genuinely matters.

 The Opportunity

Are you interested in numbers, problem-solving and how organisations manage their finances?

Drive is offering a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in finance and accounting. As our Finance Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting our Finance Team while working towards a fully funded AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification.

You’ll gain practical experience in bookkeeping, accounting records, financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations and business finance, developing the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in the finance profession.

You’ll be part of a supportive team, learning from experienced colleagues and gaining valuable workplace experience alongside your studies. The role has been designed to support progression through AAT qualifications and provide a strong foundation for future finance careers.

 Perfect for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with numbers and data
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Likes solving problems and being organised
  • Wants a career in finance, accounting or business
  • Enjoys learning new systems and processes

 What You’ll Learn

As part of the apprenticeship, you’ll gain experience in:

  • Bookkeeping and accounting records
  • Purchase and sales ledger processes
  • Financial administration
  • Bank reconciliations and financial controls
  • Microsoft Excel and financial systems
  • Budget monitoring and management reporting
  • Professional ethics and financial governance

You’ll work closely with the Finance Team while developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a recognised AAT qualification.

 What We Offer

  • Fully funded AAT qualification
  • Dedicated support from experienced finance professionals
  • Real workplace experience from day one
  • Friendly and supportive team environment
  • Opportunities to develop your skills and confidence
  • Potential progression opportunities upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
